Time to celebrate literacy!
January 25-29, 2021 we will be celebrating Literacy Week at Westmount Elementary School! This will be a time we can celebrate literacy, books, less screen time, and more play! During the week at school we will have fun literacy activities planned for students, and we encourage families to get involved with Unplug and Play at home! Although activities will look a little different, this in an important year to promote a healthy balance between active family time and recreational screen time. Unplug and Play forms will be sent home detailing many FREE city events! **Competed and returned Unplug and Play forms will be entered in a draw to win a prize!** Literacy Week Activities (January 25-29):

For more information about Family Literacy and fun family activities, visit: https://abclifeliteracy.ca/family-literacy/ In previous years during Family Literacy Week, Westmount has participated in the local "HEAP THE HONDA" book drive to collect books to donate to literacy programs in our community.
UNFORTUNATELY, THE CAMPAIGN WILL NOT BE OCCURING AT THIS TIME. We are hoping to participate once again in the Spring, so PLEASE wait until further notice to bring donated books.
